Genesis Church Family,
It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, the writer of Hebrews tells us. Why? Because those hands belong to a Sculptor who shapes our lives with a commitment to complete the good work He began—work that includes both giving and taking away.
Several months ago, my wife and I entered into a season of personal assessment. The question we brought before the Lord was this: Am I called to continue on as the pastor of this church? After much prayer and reflection, we now believe the Lord has led us to the conclusion that I am not.
Therefore, I am writing to inform you of a new season for our family and for Genesis Church. Effective immediately, I am resigning as the Senior Pastor of Genesis Church. This is not my church. It belongs to Jesus Christ
I have learned many things while pastoring here at Genesis Church that I will take with me. The Lord has stretched us and grown us in many different ways.
I am so thankful for the opportunities that I have had over the last 7.5 years to share the love of Jesus to each of you, our community, and extended communities. I praise God for the deep friendships that we have developed while serving Genesis Church.
God is a mighty and wonderful God, He has sustained us through many joys victories & trials.
We have witnessed hundreds saved & baptized.
We have witnessed marriages heal.
We have witnessed lives transformed.
We have witnessed God at work…
At this time I believe that God is calling us into a new ministry at Alliance Church, Lubbock, Texas, with new opportunities, and new adventures.
It has been a wonderful blessing to be your pastor over 7 1/2 years, this an unbelievably difficult decision for us to make. But, we feel the need to be faithful to God’s call.
Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
